Course Description: This course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed to perform in the role of a Damage Inspection Specialist. Topics include position overview, supplies and equipment, assignments, Damage Inspection Manager (DINM) expectations, communications, documentation, navigation, safety, and data collection.

Course Prerequisites:
Introduction to Incident Command System (IS-100); and ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents (IS-200.b); and National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction (IS-700.a); and Basic Land Navigation (NWCG) (PMS-475), plus one of the following:
Fire Fighter I; or CAL FIRE Basic Fire Fighter (minimum of 67-hour course); or Firefighter Training (NWCG) (S-130); or Incident Safety Awareness.
Bring a Smart device able to download collection app, though some data is required to utilize the application data rates are the responsibility of the student.
Advanced registration is required for this course - On-Site registration will not be permitted. Registration will close on May 19, or when the course is full.
