Course Description: The purpose of this course is to familiarize fire officials, building officials, plans examiners, fire inspectors, design professionals, and others with the many important changes in the 2022 California Fire Code (CFC). This publication will assist code users in identifying the specific code changes that have occurred and, more important, assist them in understanding the reasoning behind the changes. This seminar provides an overview of critical concepts included in the Significant Changes to the California Fire Code 2022 Edition. The participants will learn the correct use of the code’s requirements in the design, plan review, inspection, and analysis of projects. They will apply the code in clear-cut situations and build their understanding of the intent of the code when asked to make compliance decisions
