The Gale Bate Leadership Award (introduced in 2021) may be presented annually by the California Fire Prevention Officers Northern Division Board of Directors to recognize career achievements by an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and longstanding dedication in support of the association mission. This prestigious award honors the over 50 years and continued commitment Gale has provided in his unwavering leadership to the California Fire Prevention Officers Association. Gale did not have the opportunity to serve as a Board of Director or President of the association, but has proven leaders are present, accountable, and trustworthy, but more so, leaders can come from, and lead from, anywhere.
