Course Description: This course introduces learners to special hazard fire protection systems, and the unique function and applications of Victaulic Vortex™ systems.
Learning Objectives:

• Define types of special hazard fire protection systems and how they function
• Explain how a hybrid fire protection system extinguishes a fire
• Identify the appropriate applications for hybrid fire protection systems
• Know the configurations, applications, benefits, and components of Victaulic Vortex™ systems
• Discuss testing, approvals, and codes associated with hybrid fire extinguishing systems
• Recognize why NFPA developed a new standard for hybrid fire extinguishing systems
• Interpret the NFPA 770 Standard on Hybrid (Water and Inert Gas) Fire Extinguishing Systems
• Identify the appropriate steps required to inspect hybrid fire extinguishing systems
• Reference related standards and codes
