Career advancement opportunities through networking and committee collaboration: Nine committees offer participants a wide range of experience and exposure, from fire code legislation to wildland fire prevention and public education. Committee participants often have the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with some of the leading experts in fire prevention, suppression and legislation.

Advanced training and knowledge of fire prevention issues and techniques. Members have access to a wide range of skills training and mentoring taught by seasoned fire service experts. Members are eligible for discounts on selected workshops and training opportunities. In addition, members receive a 20% discount on ICC code books.

As a Member you may have the opportunity to represent your organization at International Fire Code and Building Code hearings across the country. You not only have a voice in code change, but the ability to gain valuable insight on the “behind the scenes” process of how codes originate and why they change. Members who are committee co-chairs get their expenses paid for by CA-FPO.
