Residential Sprinklers 101

Course Description: Participants will learn the basics of NFPA 13D and CRC 313 for applying residential sprinklers.  The concepts presented will aid anyone who is involved in plan review, approvals, field inspections or that looks to have a career in the residential fire protection industry.  While the discussion will be kept at a level for the newest people to the industry, the ideas and topics will grow even the most seasoned professional.  Increasing their ability to understand the requirements, how to apply them, and most importantly how to make faster plan review and inspection decisions.  Especially when things don’t conform 100% to the submitted plans or schematics.  Know what is important to watch for, and what has little or no bearing on the performance of the system.  Participants will also gain a basic understanding of how water pressure, flow and hydraulics impact the design and installation of the system and decisions making in an easy-to-understand format.
