Training Topic: New Fire protection technology and system options for protecting Data Centers. This presentation will address the fire protection challenges for protecting data centers and options to have automatic fire protection options during construction to minimize the expense of having someone on fire watch during construction. Presented By: Gregg Vlahakis, Business Development Manager at The Viking Corporation.

Bio: Gregg Vlahakis has been with Viking for 36 years starting as a sales manager and Viking technical support prior to being a Business Development Manager for the Viking corporation. Gregg started working in the fire protection industry in 1982 in procurement for a C16 California Fire Protection contractor which developed him as a fire sprinkler fitter and designer with focus on specialized fire protection systems with unique challenges and applications. Gregg served for several years on the board for the SFPE Southern Nevada chapter and from 2006 to 2023 as a board member for the SFPE Southern California Chapter. Gregg currently chairs the SFPE Southern California Nomination committee. Gregg currently is a principal on the NFPA 909, NFPA 914 and NFPA 140 committees.
